1Introduction
ThisinstructionfileforWordusers(thereisaseparateinstructionfileforLaTeXusers)maybeusedasatemplate.KindlysendthefinalandcheckedWordandPDFfilesofyourpapertotheContactVolumeEditor.Thisisusuallyoneoftheorganizersoftheconference.YoushouldmakesurethattheWordandthePDFfilesareidenticalandcorrectandthatonlyoneversionofyourpaperissent.Itisnotpossibletoupdatefilesatalaterstage.Pleasenotethatwedonotneedtheprintedpaper.
Wewouldliketodrawyourattentiontothefactthatitisnotpossibletomodifyapaperinanyway,onceithasbeenpublished.Thisappliestoboththeprintedbookandtheonlineversionofthepublication.Everydetail,includingtheorderofthenamesoftheauthors,shouldbecheckedbeforethepaperissenttotheVolumeEditors.
CheckingthePDFFile
KindlyassurethattheContactVolumeEditorisgiventhenameandemailaddressofthecontactauthorforyourpaper.TheContactVolumeEditorusesthesedetailstocompilealistforourproductiondepartmentatSPSinIndia.Oncethefileshavebeenworkedupon,SPSsendsacopyofthefinalpdfofeachpapertoitscontactauthor.Thecontactauthorisaskedtocheckthroughthefinalpdftomakesurethatnoerrorshavecreptinduringthetransferorpreparationofthefiles.Thisshouldnotbeseenasanopportunitytoupdateorcopyeditthepapers,whichisnotpossibleduetotimeconstraints.Onlyerrorsintroducedduringthepreparationofthefileswillbecorrected.

193mm.Thetextshouldbejustifiedtooccupythefulllinewidth,sothattherightmarginisnotragged,withwordshyphenatedasappropriate.Pleasefillpagessothatthelengthofthetextisnolessthan180mm,ifpossible.
Use10-pointtypeforthename(s)oftheauthor(s)and9-pointtypefortheaddress(es)andtheabstract.Forthemaintext,pleaseuse10-pointtypeandsingle-linespacing.WerecommendtheuseofComputerModernRomanorTimes.Italictypemaybeusedtoemphasizewordsinrunningtext.Boldtypeandunderliningshouldbeavoided.
PapersnotcomplyingwiththeLNCSstylewillbereformatted.Thiscanleadtoanincreaseintheoverallnumberofpages.Wewouldthereforeurgeyounottosquashyourpaper.
Headings.Headingsshouldbecapitalized.,nouns,verbs,andallotherwordsexceptarticles,prepositions,andconjunctionsshouldbesetwithaninitialcapital)andshould,withtheexceptionofthetitle,bealignedtotheleft.Wordsjoinedbyahyphenaresubjecttoaspecialrule.Ifthefirstwordcanstandalone,thesecondwordshouldbecapitalized.ThefontsizesaregiveninTable1.
