I.ProductProfile

1.ProductOverview

Whenfreeairfromatmosphericenvironmentiscompressedbyanaircompressor,thehazardoussubstanceslikemoisture,dust,andoilmistarefedintothepneumaticallyoperatedequipmentandinstrumentsalongwithcompressedair.Suchahigh-temperature,high-moistureandhigh-pressureairflowmaycauseseriouscorrosionandcontaminationinsidetheexpensivepneumaticallyoperateddevice,instrumentsandpipelinesoon,notonlyaffectingtheproductquality,butalsoresultinginequipmentfailure/fatalaccidentduetoinaccuracyoftheinstrumentsanddevices.Furthermore,manyindustrialairsourcesforchemicalfiber,printing,spraypainting,mixing,pneumaticconveying,andpneumaticautomatedequipmentaredirectlyconnectedtotheprocesstoolsforworkingprocedures,whichrequirethatthecompressedairshallbepure,dry,andfreeofanyoilanddust.Therefore,itisessentialtohavethecompressedairsubjectedtofurtherpurificationtreatmentsothatitmaymeettheproductionrequirements,andcompressedairdriersupportedbysecondaryfiltercansurelysatisfysuchrequirements.

2.StructureandWorkingPrinciple

Asecondaryfiltermainlyconsistsofafilterelementandafilterhousing,andthelattermaybedividedinto2basictypesi.e.flangetypeandglandtypeasperdifferentstructures(Fig.1andFig.2).Theupstreamcompressedairentersintothefilterelementthroughtheairinletandtheairventintheupperendofthefilterelement(5).Thefilterelementiscomposedofmultiplelayersoffiltermaterialscapableofdifferentfunctions.Thecompressedairseparatesandtrapsthemoisture,dust,oilmist,andchemicalsubstanceswithpeculiarsmellbymeansofeffectsofinterception,inertia,gravityforce,diffusionandadsorption,andaretherefore.Purecompressedairreachesthedownstreamfromtheairoutletchannelinthefilterhousingthroughthefilterelement(5),andiscontinuallyfedintothepneumaticallyoperatedequipment.Thetrappedhazardoussubstanceslikemoisture,oilmistanddustarecollectedtothebottomofthecartridge(6)ofthefilterhousing,andaredischargeoutofthemachinethroughthevalvethatisautomaticallyopenedbytheautomaticdraintrapwhenacertainvolumeisreached.Theairinlet/outletchannelsoffilterhousingareseparatedbybaffle

(2)andO-shapedrubberseal(3)offilterelement.Thefilterhousingisdesigned,manufacturedandtestedasperrelevanttechnicalstandardsforpressurevessel.Filterelementsareatypeoftubularpartscomposedofmulti-layersofdifferentmaterials,andmaybedividedinto5basicspecificationsnamelyHC,HT,HA,HFandHHaspervariedfiltrationfunctions(seeTable1):

Moistureisremovedby100%,andtheresidualcontentofoilmistreaches1PPm.

Pre-filterandpost-filterofadsorptiontypedrier;

pre-filterofthesecondaryfilter;

pre-filterofpneumatictoolandmotorcylinder;

andthemainpipelinefilterforprotectingtheautomaticcontrolsystemandairsystem

HA-classmicrooilmistfilter

Internalelasticspongelayeriscapableofpre-filtering,andthemicroglassfiber,whichisspeciallydesignedandsubjecttoparticulardensity/diameter/surfacetreatment,canremovesolidparticlesof0.01μm.

Externalspongelayercanabsorbanddischargeoilmist.

Oilmistisremovedby99.99%,andtheresidualcontentofoilmistreaches0.01PPm.

Providinggrease-freecompressedairforprecisioninstruments,spraypainting,foodstuff,drugsandelectronicmanufacturingindustries.GreasedaircompressorfittedwithC,T,A-classfiltersmaysubstitutegrease-freeaircompressor,ensuringeasymaintenance.

HI-classultrahigh-efficiencydegreasingfilter

Film-coatedenclosed-typefoamsleeveisadoptedforpre-filtrationandairflowdispersion.

Specialdesignofmulti-layermatrixcomplexfiber,capableofremovingsolidparticlesandgrainsof0.01μm.

Residualmoisturecontentofoilmistis0.003PPm.

Film-coatedenclosed-typefoamsleeve.

Grease-freeairsupplyforkeyapplications,andtheapplicationswhereairflowcontactstheproducts.Conveyingandmixingofair-relatedproducts,manufacturingofelectronicelements,andnitrogenreplacement;

Microglassfibercanremovesolidparticlesof0.01μm,andthemulti-holeexternalspongecanpreventthefiberfiltermaterialfrombeingwashedaway.Theresidual0.003PPmoilgasisfreeofanyodor.

Airsupplyforconveying,mixing,brewingandfermentationoffoodstuffandmedicinemanufacturingindustries,airsupplyforbreathinganddivingprotection,removalofodorinworkingenvironment.

II.ConfigurationandInstallation

Toensurethefilteringapparatusachievetheanticipatedeffects,correctconfigurationandinstallationareextremelyimportantinadditiontoguaranteedqualityofproducts.

1.StandardPipelinefortheFilters

Acompletesetofcompressedairpurificationsystemiscomposedofseveralequipmentandrelevantfilters.Toensureeasyoperationandmaintenance,eachfiltershallbeinstalledasperthestandardpipelinesshowninFig.3.Items3and4asshowninthefigurearetheON/OFFvalvesforupstreamanddownstreamoftheairsupplypipeline,whichshallbeturnedonwhenthefilterworksnormallyandshallbeturnedoffpriortomaintenance.Valve5isfittedintheair-supplybranchandshallbeturnedoffwhenthefilterworksnormallyandturnedoffpriortomaintenance;

italarmsautomaticallyoncepressuredropofairinlet/outexceedsacertainvaluetoprompttheoperatortocheckthefiltrationcapacityoffilterelements;

itmayalsobesubstitutedbyfittingamanometerwithbuffertubeintheinlet/outletpipeline.Item2isasamplingvalvefittedintheair-supplypipelineandisdesignedforsamplingpriortodeterminingthedegreeofpurificationoftheairsupply.Note:

Pipingshowninthefigureshallbeinstalledbyuser.

2.BasicConfiguration/InstallationPatternoftheFilter

HC-classfiltersareusuallyinstalledintheupstreampipelinecomposedofaircompressor

(2)andairtank(3)asperthepatternshowninFig.4totraptmostofthemoisturecontent,oilmistanddustparticlesof3μmorgreatercontainedintheupstreamairchannel,sothatfunctionsofpurificationanddryingofthefreezingdriermaybebroughtintofullplay.HT-classfilter,HA-classfilterandHF-classfiltershallbeconnectedinseriesinthedownstreamairchannelafterthefreezedrier,andtheairchannelrequiringremovalofpeculiarsmellshallbeadditionallyequippedwithHHfiltersothatthefiltercontentsofoil,wateranddustofthedownstreamairmayreachtherequiredhighpurity.

3.OtherConfiguration/InstallationPatternsoftheFilters

Theabove-mentionedconfigurationpatternmaybealteredaccordingtothecircumstancesasperuser’sdifferentrequirementsforairsupplypurification.Forinstance,when3-stageHC,HTandHAfiltersaredirectlyconnectedinseriesfortheupstreamairsupplyfromtheairtank,mostofmoisture,oilmistanddustparticlescontainedintheairsupplymayberemoved,satisfyingtheordinaryapplicationsthatrequirenotsohighpurificationofairsupply.Someproductionprocesses,suchasproductionoflensandintegratedcircuits,mayrequirehyper-normalpurificationanddrynessofairsupply;

forsuchapplications,adsorptiontypedriermaybeadditionallyfittedafterthefreezedriersothattheairsupplymaymeetthenearlyidealrequirem
