针对湖北短文写作的命题特点，在具体写作时要注意以下几点：

一、读“提示语”，锁定写作“话题”

湖北高考的英文提示语其实是让学生在英文语境中选择一个恰如其分的话题，所以读懂提示语，选择合适的话题是写作的关键。

近年来，话题的写作始终围绕中学生的健康成长、社会人生观、价值观等方面进行，写作时要做到“观点”和“事例”的统一性、互衬性。

二、拟定提纲，按照规律行文写作

　　湖北高考英语短文写作多采用三段式结构，即引言（introduction）——主体（body）——结尾（conclusion）。

引言部分通常给出，让学生在限定的范围内组织要点，完成主体部分和结尾部分。

写作时要遵循以下规律：

　　1．开头部分

　　开头部分必须点题，用2－3个句子完成，其中要有一个漂亮的过渡句。

2．主体部分

　　主体部分其实是让学生用言简意赅的语言叙述一个结构完整、思想意义饱满的事例。

注意所讲的事例一定要能突出话题的中心，可用8—10个句子完成。

　3．结尾部分

　　结尾部分要用概括性的语言来总结全文主题，得出结论，回归话题。

其实，该部分就是在叙事的基础上加以评论，是记叙文写作中的“小抒情”。

据说很久以前，同一个镇子上的刘七和宋九是邻居，刘七家开酒坊，宋九家开肉铺。

两人为了能占对方的便宜，结拜成了把兄弟，几乎天天在一起喝酒、吃肉，被人称为“酒肉朋友”。

后来，两人合伙外出做买卖挣了大钱，快过年了，两人就把银子包在一个大包袱里往家赶。

离家不远了，他俩在一座庙里过夜。

为了庆贺，两人一个去打酒，一个去买肉，但两人都想独吞包袱里的银子，于是都在所买的东西里下了毒药，结果可想而知：

刘七和宋九这两个酒肉朋友的结局表明：

汉朝的翟公曾经做过廷尉，当时，也可称宾客盈门了，可等到被罢免，却冷落得门可罗雀了。
