Summary
Withgrowingtraffic,controldevicesattrafficcirclesareneeded:

Wecreatetwomodels—onemacroscopic,onemicroscopic—tosimulatetransportattrafficcircles.ThefirstmodelstheproblemasMarkovchain,andthesecondsimulatestrafficbyindividualvehicles—a“cellularautomata-like”model.

•placementofbasicdevices,suchaslightsandsigns;
•installationoforientationsigns,toleadvehiclesintotheproperlanes;and
•self-adaptivity,toallowthetraffictoauto-adjustaccordingtodifferenttrafficdemands.
