Liftandturntheouterdialuntilthecorrectnum-
berofm3isatthewhitedotonthebottomdial.
Withthewheelformanualregenerationyoucan
startaregenerationcyclemanually.
Turnthewheeluntilaclickisheard.Nowthesequencestartsandthewheelautomaticallyre-
turnstooperatingpositionwhenthesequenceisfinished.
5.3Backofprogramwork
Atthebackoftheprogramworkthereistheprogramdialwhichregulatesthetimeinthere-
generationsequence.
Beforetheprogramworkisopened,loosenthe
drivingwirebetweenthewatermeterandthepro-
gramwork.
Togettotheprogramdial,grabthebottomright
corneroftheprogramworkandpull.Theprogram
worksitsonahingeontheleftside.
Whenreprogrammingthetimes,loosenthepro-
gramdialbypressingthedowelstowardsthemid-
dleandliftingoutthedial.Becarefulwiththecon-
tactleverofthemicroswitch.
NOTE!
Thepinisstuck.Useapincerandinstru-
menthammer.
5.4Start-up
1.管线清洁
2.控制盘指示检查,上部箭头指向“service”,下部按钮是否在“tank1”。

minimum10cmsalttabletsinthetank.Saltshallberefilledwhenthewatersurfacestartsto
becomevisible.

regenerationoftank1isstartedsimultaneouslywithtank2takingoverthesupply.Tank1is
standingbyuntilregenerationoftank2isstartedanew.
6.ADJUSTMENTOFPROGRAMWORK
SofteningfiltertypeFVDissuppliedwithstandardprogramandequipmentforordinarilyoc-
curringconditions.However,speciallocalconditionsmaydeviateconsiderablyfromthestan-
dardconditions,andthatiswhyanadjustmentoftheprogramworkmaybenecessarytocarry
outonsite.
6.1Capacity
Thecapacityofthesofteningplant(regenerationinterval)mainlydependsonthetotalhard-
nessoftherawwater(°
dH).
Asstandardthefiltersareadjustedatasaltconsumptionofapprox.120gramNaClperlitre
resin.Thisamountgivesthemosteconomicalindexcapacity.Ifthesaltamountisdoubled,
thecapacityonlyincreasedbyapprox.25%.
6.2Regenerationprogram
Whenanamountofwateraspresetonthevolumedialhaspassedtheplant,aregenerationof
thepreviousfilterisstarted,andatthesametimethereisaswitch-overtothefilterinstand-
by.
Theregenerationssequenceisdividedintovariousphasesadaptedinduration,sothatthe
mostefficientandeconomicalchargingofthefil-
terisobtained.
6.2.1Backwash
Meansthatthewaterflowinsidethefiltertankis
reversedandflowsfromthebottomthroughthe
ionexchangeresinandoutthroughthetopofthe
tanktodrain.Thepurposeofthisbackwashisto
loosentheresinmassandrinseoutpossible
smudgedeposits.Theflowisadaptedbymeans
ofaflowcontrolintheoutletline,sothatthe
flowvelocityisadequateforlifting(expanding)
theresinapprox.50%.
6.2.2Brine&
Rinse
Meansthatthesaltsolutionisledinfromthetop,through
theionexchangeresinandoutthroughthebottomdistribu-
tortodrain.Thesaltsolutionwillbesuckedinbymeansof
anejectorwhichisadaptedsothatthecalculatedamountis
fedinlessthan20minutes.Afterthatthedisplacement
phasestarts,whichmeansthattheresinmassiscarefullybeingflowedthroughawater
amountcorrespondingtoapprox.onebedofionexchangeresin.Thisisdoneinordertogive
theresinalongercontacttimewiththesaltandconsequentlyabetteroutput.
6.2.3Rapidrinse
Includesrinsingoftheresinforsurplussalt.Thewaterisledin
fromabove,throughtheresinandoutthroughthedistribution
pipetodrain.Therinsingtimeisadaptedsothatwatercorre-
spondingtoapprox.2bedsofresinhavepassedtheresinafter
finishedrinsing.Shouldtheoutletwaterstillcontainresidual
saltafterfinishedrinsing,therinsingtimemustbeextended.
6.2.4Brinefill(Fillingofsalttank)
Isdonebyfillingupthesalttankwithanamountofwatercorre-
spondingtotheamountofsaltsolutionthatthefilterinquestion
requires.Aflowcontrolinthelinemeansthatthewaterisrela-
tivelyinsusceptibletowardschangesofpressure,andconse-
quentlythewateramountcaneasilybedeterminedbyadjusting
thefillingtime.
Ondeliverythefiltersareequippedwithregenerationprogram
inaccordancewithbelowdiagram.
