本句是一个简单句。
使用了形容词的最高级形式。
在三者或三者以上进行比较时，用最高
级。

二者都有“近的”意思，但close比near表达的距离更近，相当于verynear，可以近至几乎相接触，而near意为“附近的；

形容词和副词的最高级
一、最高级的比较范围
在第三单元我们讲到形容词和副词有三级，原级、比较级和最高级。
原级和比较级及其用法已做了介绍，那么最高级有多“高”呢？
二、形容词和副词最高级的变化
观察下列形容词和副词的词形变化，总结最高级变化：
1．great—greatest；
long—longest
2．large—largest；
nice—nicest
3．fat—fattest；
thin—thinnest
4．happy—happiest；
easy—easiest
5．comfortable—mostcomfortable；
interesting—mostinteresting
6．good—best；
badly—worst
（一）规则变化：
单音节词和少数双音节词
1．一般在词后加est，longest
2．哑音e结尾的，直接加st，nicest
3．以辅音字母y结尾的变y为i，再加est，funniest
4．重读闭音节且只有一个辅音字母结尾的，先双
写辅音字母，再加est，biggest
5．多音节词和少数双音节词在词前加most，mostimportant

三、形容词和副词最高级的用法
①Oneofthe+最高级+名词复数“最......之一”
1．Heisoneofthetalleststudentsinourschool.
他是我们学校最高的学生之一。
②...最高级+of/in/among...“......之中最......”

他是所有学生中最聪明的。
Heistheclevereststudentinhisclass.
他是他班中最聪明的学生。
③Thisis/was+the+最高级+名词+that引导的定语从句

④the+序数词+最高级+名词单数+in+范围“在......范围内......是第几的......”
注意：
这里最高级前不加the,表示“第几”
