Othertimes,Ieventhoughtaboutkillingmyself—Ijustfeltsotrapped.Ineverreallyreachedoutforhelpeither,asIfeltthattherewasn’tanyonewhocouldhavehelpedwithmysituation.
Whatturnedmylifearound,however,wasdiscoveringstreetdancing.Iwasintroducedtoitbyafriend,andIstartedtakingclassesatastudioinLondon.Afterafewweeks,Ibegantogooutandmeetalotofotherdancerstopracticeandtrainwiththemonaregularbasis.Itgavemeapurpose,andeventuallythehappinessIgainedfromithelpedmemanagemydepression.Thedancinghelpedmegetmylifeback,focusonmystudies,andgetthroughuniversity.
