Nowadays，withtherapiddevelopmentoftourismindustry,ithasbecomepopularforquitesomepeopletotravelatvacationafteralongperiodofheavyloadofworking.Theycometosomehistoricalsitestorelaxthemselves.Atthesametime,holidayisthebusiesttraveltimesoftheyear.Generallyspeaking,thefamousChinesesitesofhistoricalinterestwillchargehigherfeesduringthetime.Recently,acontroversialviewpointtowardshistoricsites'higherchargethatwhethersuchactionwillhurtcitizen'ssentiment.Myopinionisthatit'sworthcharginghigherfees.

Firstofall,Ifirmlybelievethatitisnecessarytochargehigherfees.Peoplecouldunderstandthemeaningoflifeandthepermanentvaluefromthesemeasures,thentheywillchangetheirthinkingstyleofstudyandwork.Historicalsitesletpeoplerealizedeathisnotfarawayandweshouldnotwasteourlife.

Moreover,whenparentstaketheirchildrentothehistoricinterest,thechildrencanlearnknowledgeofhistoryratherthanjustplayingthere.Atthesametimetheyreceiveeducation.Infact，IthinkitismeaningfultogotoChinesesitesofhistoricalinterestthantotheplayground.

　　China’sStateAdministrationofRadioFilmandTelevision（SARFT）recentlyissuedanoticebanningdomesticradioandTVstationsfromtranslatingforeignradioandTVprogrammesintoanylocaldialect.ThenoticesaidthatsuchdialecttranslationcontradictsthenationalinitiativetopromotePutonghua,orMandarin,aroundthecountry.Foreignprogrammesthathavebeentranslatedintodialectsmustberemovedfromtelevisionandradioimmediately.Thenoticeevokedamixedresponsefromexpertsandaudioandvideoproducers,aswellasthegeneralpublic.Manyvoicedtheirconcernsthatlocaldialectswouldbeforniddeninpublicplaces.Mandarian,whichmeans"commonlanguage",isthecountry’spredominantlanguageandiswidelyusedbymorethan70percentofthepopulation.However,localdialectsstillenjoypopularityforrelativelyless-educatedpeopleinsomeoccasions.Thedialectsdomakeuniqueroleandshouldbetoleratedforexistenceinpublicplaces.

　　Thoughpromotedwidelyinpublicplaces,dialectsareacceptableinpublicplaces.First,itismorethanameretoolforcommunication.Itis,mostimportantly,themessengerofitsrespectiveculture.Ifthedialectwaseliminatedfromdailyuse,theculturewillbebroken.Second,Mandariancanabsorbtheelitepartoflocaldialecttoenrichitsvocabularyandusage.ThisistheperfectionofMandartianfromthousandsofyearsblendandcontact.Thedialectscanalsobepopularinthepublic.AlongwiththefamousshortplaybycomicactorsinNEChina,thelocaldialectcameintothespotlight,andenjoyedmorepopularitythroughoutChina.Suchaculturalphenomenonrepresentstheaudienceanattitudetolocaldialectswhichcatertothetasteofthemajority.Third,dialectistheonlymeanofcommunicationtosomeundereducatedlocalpeople.Iflocaldialectsareforbiddeninthepublicplaces,theycannotcommunicate.

　　Tosumup,localdialectsshouldbetoleratedinpublicplacesforitsuniquerolewhichMandariancannotsubstitute.Weshouldguarteeitssurvivalbecausedialectsstandforourspiritualland.Fromalong-termperspective,dialectsshouldnotandwouldnotbewipedout.Thereisnoneedforanypurposefulanddeliberateattempttoprotectdialects.Justletdialectstaketheirnaturalcourse.Thebestwaytoprotectadialectistouseitindailylifeandpassitdownfromgenerationtogeneration.
