二者都可引导非限制性定语从句，指代主句的全部或部分，作从句中的主语或宾语，其用法、意义区别如下：
1as引导的定语从句可置于主句前，而which引导的不可以。

since表达对方已知的信息，常译为“既然”。

as表示明显的、已知的理由，常与since互用，可议为“由于”。
Ashewasn’treadyintime,wewentwithouthim.他未及时做好准备，所以我们没有等他就走了。
for为并列连词，连接的不是从句，而是分句。
表示对已发生情况的补充说明，不表示就直接的原因，语气较弱。
