Parkerlackedmoneyforlaunchingtheproject,soheconvincedSayre’sheadofschooltofundhimafterexplainingthebenefitsofsolarpowerfortheschoolandcommunity.SinceSayreprovidedtheinitialseedmoneytoprovidesuppliesandthepurchaseofonepanel,theprojecthasgrowntoincludeatotalof30panels.Theyareexpectedtogenerateenoughenergytorunallfourofthesciencelabsoncampus.
