4.1
Declarationofduty
Itistheresponsibilityofthepurchasertodeclaretheduty.Thepurchasermaydescribethedutybyoneofthefollowing:
Pass
a)numerically,wheretheloaddoesnotvaryorwhereitvariesinaknownmanner;
b)asatimesequencegraphofthevariablequantities;
c)byselectingoneofthedutytypesS1toS10thatisnolessonerousthantheexpectedduty.

Thedutytypeshallbedesignatedbytheappropriateabbreviation,specifiedin4.2,writtenafterthevalueoftheload.
Thepurchasernormallycannotprovidevaluesforthemomentofinertiaofthemachine(JM)ortherelativethermallifeexpectancy(TL),seeAnnexA.Thesevaluesareprovidedbythemanufacturer.
Wherethepurchaserdoesnotdeclareaduty,themanufacturershallassumethatdutytypeS1(continuousrunningduty)applies.
