‘Snowiswatervaporparticlesthathavebeentransformedintocrystalswithoutfirstpassingthroughtheliquidstate.’

选择项C)较好地总结了文章的大意;
A)仅是大意的一部分;
B)项含义模糊不清;
MyStudent’sLife;
OnStudents.
Exercise:
Choosethemostgeneralsentence.

(D)Afewmemberswantedtoearmark(指定用途)extrafundsfornextyear’stownfestival,butamajorityfeltthatthelimitedresourcesavailableshouldbeusedforother,morepressingneeds.
在通读全文的过程中,我们要特别注意涉及who,what,when,where,how和why等问题的内容。
The50-starflagoftheUnitedStateswasraisedforthefirsttimeofficiallyonJuly4,1960,atFortMcHenryinBaltimore.The50thstarhadbeenaddedforHawaii,ayearearlierthe49th,forAlaska.Beforethat,nostarhadbeenaddedsince1912,whenNewMexicoandArizonawereadmittedtotheUnion.
Question:
In1912,beforeJuly4,theU.S.flaghad_______.
A)47starsB)20starsC)46starsD)48stars
Onewordthatsumsupouragebetterthananyother---whether“ourage”is“thetechnologicalage”ofwesterncountriesorthe“modernizingage”ofChina—isthewordCHNGE.Buthaschangenotalwaysbeenpresent?
Morethanjustchange.Itisunprecedentedchange.Insuchaworld,readingprovidesthebesttoolwehaveforkeepingupandforavoidingfutureshockinaworldcontinuallybeingremade.
WhichofthefollowingisNOTtrue?
(A)WesterncountriesandChinaarebeingremade.
(B)Readingwillhelpusunderstandourage.
(C)Thepresentageandfutureworldarecontinuallychanging.
(D)Readingisthebesttoolprovidedbyourage.
);
”Readingisthebesttoolprovidedbyourage.”
Thebasketballteamneverlackedvociferoussupporters,buttheyrarelyrespondedtothisshowofenthusiasm.
ScottFitzgerald,whofirstintroducedhimtoapublisher,wasoneofthefewcontemporarywritersthatHemingwaydidnotturnagainst.
Hemingway.
Thesalesmanputthekeyintheignition,buttheenginewouldnotstart.Hehadtobeintheairinhalfanhourinordertoarriveintimeforthemeeting.Hisbonuswouldbeloweredifhelostthisaccount.
1)Itcanbeinferredfromthepassagethatthemanwas______.
A)inhisofficeB)inthefactory
C)inthecarD)inthewarehouse
2)Whatwasthemangoingtodoinhalfanhour?
A)Tomeethiscustomer.B)Tocatchabus.
C)Toattendameeting.D)Tocatchaplane
1.了解文章的主旨;
2.分辨文章表达的主要思想和次要思想;
3.寻找文章的逻辑思路;
Themaleandfemalemosquitoesmakeanoddcouple.Thefemaleisavampireandlivesonblood.Themaleisavegetarianthatsipsnectarandplantjuices.Femalesofdifferentspecieschoosedifferenthostsonwhichtodine.Somefeedexclusivelyoncattle,horses,birds,andotherwarm-bloodedcreatures.Somefavorcold-bloodedanimals.Stillotherspreferman.
Whilethefemales’menuvaries,herbiteremainsthesame.Shedriveshersharptubularsnoutthroughtheskin,injectsafluidtokeepthebloodfromthickening,anddrinksherfill,whichtakesaminuteorless.Itisthefluidsheinjectsthatcarriesdisease.Afterherbloodmeal,sherestswhilehereggsdevelop.Shethenlooksforamoistorfloodedplacetolaythem.
Somefeedonwarm-bloodedcreatures.Somefavourcold-bloodedanimals.Stillotherspreferman.
