1.一词多义

1.复叠词的翻译

（1）两个重叠词意义相同或大体相同,一般只需译成一个汉语词,如:

定语从句的翻译

（一）

1.限定性定语从句翻译

以关系代词who,which,that,whose和关系副词when,where引导的限定性定语从句译成汉语的定语:

●Itisestimatedthatover3,000companies（includingnon-technologycompanies）whichhavecompletedinitialpublicofferingsofstockintheUnitedStatesoverthepasttwodecadeshavereceivedventurecapitalatsomepointintheirdevelopment.

定语从句的翻译

（二）

出于汉语考虑,为避免修饰语过于冗长或语义含混,应将限制性定语从句译成后置的并立分句或将其与先行词一起译成一个主谓结构的句子.

1.灵活性

IndividualrightsandfreedomareassuredintheConstitutionandarelistedinthefirst10amendmentscalledthe“BillofRights”,whichwereaddedin1791.

增词

翻译中的增词,就是在译文中增补必要的词,使译文的意思明白无误.一般而言,增词有两种情况,一是把原文句子里隐含的或上下文意思清楚但却没有写出来的词在译文中补进去,使汉语清楚地表达原文的意思.也就是说,这样的增词是出于语义上的需要.另一种增词是出于句法上的考虑,即把原文中省略的句子成分补充进去,使译文的句子意思完整.

1.增补原文中隐含而没有明示的词

●Eachofthepartiesdoherebywaiveanyproofthatsuchbreachwillcauseirreparableinjurytosuchpartyorthatthereisnoadequateremedyatlaw.

各方谨此表示不要求另一方进行举证,以证明一方违约将给该另一方造成不可弥补的损害或根据普通法得不到足够的救济.
