ABSTRACT:

Draglineapplicationisanadvancedtechniqueforopencastmining,whichisintegratedwithmining,transportationandearthdischarge.Itcandirectlydischargethestrippingearthintotheearthstockyard.Thistechniqueenjoystheadvantageoflargeproductioncapacity,costeffectiveandtheshallow-burdenopencastMining.ThisarticlesummarizesthedraglineapplicationinHeidaigouOpencastMine,includingthedraglinetype

theanalysesoftheminingparameterandcastblasttechniqueandeconomicandtechnologicalanalyses,andalsointroducesthedraglineapplicationinHaerwusuOpencastMine.ThetwoexampleswitnesstheavailabilityofthedraglineusedinChineseopencastminesanditspotentialapplicationaswell.

1QUESTION

CoalisthemajorconsumptionenergyinChina.Inrecentyears,thecoalrecoveryatstate-ownedmaincoalmines,state-ownedlocalcoalminesandcountrycoalminesinourcountryis50%,30%and15%respectively.Therecoveryofourcoalresourceislow,forundergroundminingmethodsholdmuchmoreproportion.Whysurfaceminingwithhigherrecoveryisnotdevelopeduniversally?

Analysisfoundsthatisrelatedmuchtotechnologyofsurfacemining.Therailwaytransporttechnologywasemployedmainlyin60s,shovel-trucktechnologywasdevelopedin80s.Butshovel-trucktechnologyhasbroughthighproductioncostsforalongtimepastbecauseofmanyinfluencefromfuelcost,miningdepth,workingbenchlength,haulagedistancetothedumpyard,etc.Furthermore,thissurfaceminingtechnology,whichworkingbenchlengthisnomorethan1.5km,designedcapabilityisnomorethan15mt,isnotcompetitiveinthemarket,soanewsurfaceminingtechnologyisurgentlyneeded.

Thedraglinestrippingapplicationisanadvancedminingtechnologyintheworld,whichintegrateswiththreeoperationsofdigging,transportanddumping,canstriptheoverburdenanddumpatthespoilsideofthemined-outarea.Thisapplicationisinworldwideusenowadays,foritseasierminingmethod,norestrictionofworkingbenchlength.Centralizedoperation,higherefficiencyandespecialadvantagestoalmostflat-beddeddeposit,

100MWandafirst-degreesingle-trackelectricrailwayof264kmlongstraight,andallfacilitiesandequipmentsofthecompanyarefirst-classandmodern.Withthedevelopmentandindustryreforms,thecompanygraduallystartedtodevelopinasteadierandfasterway.Inordertomatchwithrequirementsoftheambientelectricitymarketing,ourcompanyplannedtoexpandthecapabilityofexitingminefrom12mt/ato20mt/a,thenwestartedthedraglineapplicationresearchinHeidaigouOpenpitsince2002.HerewetakeHeidaigouOpencastCoalmineasanexample,mainlyintroducethemachinemodelselection,operationparameteranalysis,castblasttechnologyandeconomicbenefit.

2.1.AvailabilityofdraglineapplicationinHeidaigouOpencastCoalmine

InHeidaigouOpencastCoalmine,thethicknessofsurfacesoilisabout49meters,rocklayerabout56metersandcoalseamabout28.8meters.Thesurfacesoilistobestrippedbybucketwheelexcavatorcontinuoussystem;

rockandcoalbyshovel-trucksystem.Therocklayerthicknessrangesfrom50to70meters,withalotoffractures,hardnessoftherockf=3–5.Thecoaltypeislignitewithfeaturesoflowsulfur,extralowphosphorus,mediumashandhighashfusionpoint;

theaveragecalorificvalueis19223-22154J/g(4588~5288cal/g),wellqualifiedforpower.Theaveragethicknessofthemainminablecoalseam(No.6coalseam)is24meters,theslopeisnomorethan3~5º

andthehardnessofcoalf=1-3.

Consideringthecoaldepositandrockcondition,castblastanddraglineapplicationwillbeaverysuitablestrippingmethodforthemine.Thedraglinecanbelocatedatthetopofthecoalfloor,rockabovecoaltopfloorcanbedumpedintotheinnerdump,theleftrockandthetoplossesstillemploystheoriginalminingtechnology

Draglinecanbeappliedinfourways.Theminechoosesoneofthem.Tomakeadraglinestandontheextendedplatformleveledbyabulldozerafterblasting,anddumptheoverburdenintothemined-outarea,refertoFigure1.
