Abstract：

Inrecentyears,InternethasbeengluttingwithSocialSoftware,likeHotmail,MSN,ICQ,etc.HowtoeffectivelyapplythemintoPersonalKnowledge

Management,whichistheprocessofobtaining,evaluating,arranging,analyzing,revealingandsharinginformation,isanextremelysignificantjobforeducationalresearchers.ManystudieshaveusedoneSSinPKM,thereisnoresearchonthecombinationofvariousSStoapplythemeffectivelyinPKM.Ourpaper,therefore,studiesthemacrocosmoftheapplicationofvariousSSinPKM.

I.INTRODUCTION

SocialSoftware,thedrivingforceofthenewInternetrevolution,playanimportantroleintheinformationshareamongpeople.ByusingSS,thespreadingofknowledgeandtheexpansionofrelativeinformationcanbestrictlyfollowed.Therefore,thenaturalrelationshipbetweenSSandpersonalknowledgemanagementcannotbebrokenoff.Itwon’tbehardtoimaginethatPKMwillbecomepartofSSinthefuture.Therefore,manyscholars,companiesandindividualshavebeenattractedtodoallkindsofresearches,softwaredevelopmentandpractices,whichmakethepracticeofSSinPKMbecomeanewsector.However,intermsofthepracticesandresearchesinacertainofSS,macrocosmhadbeenshortof.ThisarticlewillofferanewcompleteapplicationmodelofSSwhichsupportstoPKM.

II.SOCIALSOFTWAREOVERVIEW

SocialSoftware（SS）,aresultofthesocializationofsoftware,hasalwaysbeenahottopicsince2002.Socialsoftwareisnormallyappliedtoarangeofweb-enabledsoftwareprograms.Theprogramsusuallyallowuserstointeract,communicateandshareinformationwithotherusers.UsersusetheSSasacommunicationmeanstoimprovetheirsocialrelationship,meanwhiletheyconsiderthenon-socialsoftwareasanITtoolratherthanacommunicationmeans.Therefore,SSdistinguishesitselffromthenon-SSbythefollowingpoints:

•Thesoftwarereflectsthesocialnetworkintherealworldwhenitisbeingused.

•Thespontaneousgroupingandorganization.

•Self-centered,light-duty,easy-united,Webconnected.

•Many2Many（GrouptoGroup）.

•Thereflectionofusers’identityandtrustinsoftware.

•Softwareupdateandself-development.

•Theactiveindividualparticipationingroups.

Actually,beforeitswidelyrecognized,SShasalreadybeenwidelyusedwiththedevelopmentoftheInternet.Forexample,E-mailandInstantMessageareallearlySS.ButtheseSShavestraightforwardaims,mainlyoncommunication.Recently,asthe

ideaofSSbecomesclearerandtheInternetgrowsrapidly,SSreachesitsprimetime.Manynewmulti-functionalSS,especiallythoseworkingonspreading,communicatingandsharingofknowledge,suchasBLOG,WIKIetc.,enterthestage.BasedonthemissionandnewdevelopmentofSS.

BLOGisakindofnetworkpublicationandcommunicationformofpersonalinformationandthoughtsthatispresentedchronologicallyandalsoitisfrequentlyupdated.Itisanewchanneltopostnetworkinformationandsimpletouse,whichaccountsforitspopularity.AgreatnumberofBLOGGERS（ThatisBLOGwriter）createabundantInternetinformationspontaneously.BLOGmakesitmoreconvenientforuserstopostpersonalinformationanditisofgreatsignificanceonexploringandsharingimplicitknowledge.

RSSisakindofunionpatternofwebcontent,includingasetofelementdatarulesusedtodescribewebcontentandaninteractiveandprovideamulti-beneficialapplicationsystemtocontentintegrators,contentprovidersandendusers.DependingonRSStechnology,peoplecanbrowsethewebabstractandnewswiththeon-lineoroff-lineRSSreader,withoutwebsitelogin.

WIKIisakindofhypertextsystem.Itoffersasupporttocommunitycollaborativewritingandanauxiliarytooltosuchwritingaswell.ManypeoplecanmaintainWIKIandWIKIprovideanaccessforeveryonetoposthiscommentorextendanddiscussthecommonsubjects.Accordingly,WIKImeansalottoestablishingsharedknowledgebase.
