   1.0 Introduction This report wrote wal-mart's international procurement department.Managing director suggested

2.1 To evaluate the effect of the international business

environment on the IPD  Wal-Mart is the representative of the retail business from Wal-Mart's experience, we can see the

customer's needs and requirements are constantly updating and changing.Customers who will not

stop looking for better, newer and cheaper goods to meet changing needs.Secondly, Traditional

sources of supplies of raw materials and components begin to look less reliable and new supply

sources emerge, which may increase a greater load on the work of the IP

 2.2 To explain how the IPD can increase competitiveness  

IPD process from the perspective of corporate restructuring and product restructuring, to ensure

enterprises so as to improve the competitiveness of enterprises, and secondly, to optimize the

costs, improve customer satisfaction, improve market share and environmental benefits.

For example, wal-mart has established the global supplier management system and all suppliers

ensure the quality of the goods and the reliability of the field investigation.The national and

international quality standards, on the other hand, also can help wal-mart to access the new

suppliers, in order to improve the competitiveness of the enterprises.
