Aftereating,IdriveSallytoHawkCircle.Oncethere,weareintroducedtoherfellowcampers,Sallystandsbythem,holdingmyhand,dreadinhereyes,takingupallhercouragetojoinagameofsoccer.“Ineedyouforafewmoreminutes,”shetellsme.Ipullherawaytowalktooneofthecamp’sworkers.”Excuseme,”Isayloudly,“I’dliketointroduceyoutomydaughter.Maybeyoucouldhelphermeetafewofthesekids.”HecomesovertotalktoSally,andthenIdisappearbeforesherealizesit.
