Abstract

Deiser’snovelisregardedasamirror,revealingvividdescriptionoftherealsociety。

SoAnAmericanTragedyis。

Atpresent,therearealargenumberofarticlesstudyingthisfamousnovel.Onmostoccasions,aseriesofdiscussionandcriticismofthesocialmoralissuesaregeneratedfromtheAmericancapitalistsystem，providinginsightsintoAnAmericanTragedy.ThispaperusesavarietyofperspectivestoanalyzethecomprehensivenovelofAnAmericanTragedy。

WithmaincharacterClydeandsocialbackgroundasthebasicpoints，thearticleisdividedintofourparts.ThefirstpartconcernstheintroductionofDresserandhishistoricalbackground，layingthegroundworkforthecentralargumentofthisarticle.Thesecondparttalksaboutthehero’shumannatureandrevealstherootcausesoftragedy。

ThethirdpartdemonstratesthecausesofAmericantragedy,whichincludesethics，loveandmassvalues.Finally,thearticleusestherealismanalysisasareferencetoexplainthetragiceventsinAnAmericanTragedy，revealingaperiodofrapideconomicdevelopment,thedegradationofsocialmoralityandhumanspiritualcivilizationdevelopmentofmaterialcivilizationcontradiction.Throughthecomprehensiveandthoroughanalysisinthispaper,thereaderscanachievethedeepunderstandingaboutthesocialproblemsandcausesexistingbehindthem.

摘要

德莱赛的小说就像是一面镜子，生动形象的映射出美国的现实社会。

《美国的悲剧》正是如此。

目前这部名作已有大量专著研究，大多是针对美国资本主义制度所产生一系列社会道德问题的具体体现进行批评与论述或从某个角度对美国悲剧进行深入透析。

本文采用多种视角，对《美国的悲剧》进行全方位、多角度的深入剖析。

以两个中心为基本论点。

即以主人公克莱德和社会大背景为中心。

分四大部分，第一部分介绍作者德莱赛和时代背景，为本文中心论点做铺垫。

第二部分深入分析主人公成长过程中人性的变化以及与社会背景存在的关系，揭露悲剧产生的根源性。

第三部分则通过用不同的观点论证美国悲剧为何是伦理道德、爱情、以及大众价值观的悲剧。

最后部分通过现实主义分析,以《美国的悲剧》中所发生的悲剧事件为参照，列举中国近几年发生的可悲事件，揭示了在经济高速发展的时期,社会道德的沦落以及人类精神文明与物质文明发展的矛盾性.读者借助于本文全面、透彻的解析，可以理解小说所反映的社会问题和问题产生的原因。
