IntheTangDynastyscholarshadtobepoets.Theirreaderswerenotonlypeopleofhighsocialpositionbutalsocommonpeople.Poetsrecitedpoems;

womensingerssangpoemsandotherranksofpeople,includingoldwomenandchildren,readTangpoems.Thisatmosphereaffectedforeignerswhovisitedthecountryatthattime.Asaresult,Tangpoetrywasintroducedtosomeadjacentcountries,likeJapanandVietnam.
