Ohno,whofoundedtheleanproductionprinciple,discoveredthathismethodologiesnotonlyreducewaste,butalsoincreaseproductflowandimprovequality.Inthispaper,adetailedanalysisofleanproductionisconductedtoderiveitssuperiorityandcompareitwithtraditionalproductionmethods.Throughanalysis,itcanbeknownthatleanproductionisamagicweapontorescuedifficultenterprises.

LeanProduction(LP)isanexpertoftheMITDigitalInternational
AutomotivePlanningOrganization(IMVP)andpraisedJapan’s“JustinTimeProductionMethod”.LeanProductionislessandmorerefined.Insteadofinvestinginextraproductionfactors,itisonlynecessarytoproducethenecessarynumberofurgentlyneededproductsforthemarket(orproductsthatareurgentlyneededforthenextprocess)atanappropriatetime.Allbusinessactivitiesmustbeprofitable,effective,andeconomical.Leanproductionisthebestproductionorganizationsystemandmethodintheindustry.
Leanproductionwastheresultofthe“resourcescarcity”and“multi-species,low-volume”marketconstraintsfacedbytheJapaneseautoindustryafterthewar.ItbeganwithToyotaSasakiandworkedtogetherwithToyotaKiichiroandOhnoNaiichi.Itwasnotgraduallyperfecteduntilthe1960s.
Leanproductionisnotonlyakindofproductionmethodthatminimizestheresourcesoccupiedbyenterpriseproductionandreducestheenterprisemanagementandoperationcosts,butitisalsoanideaandaculture.Theimplementationofleanproductionistheprocessofdeterminationandpursuitofperfection.Itisalsoaprocessofpursuingexcellence.Itisaspiritualforcethatsupportsthelivesofindividualsandcompanies,anditisalsoarealmofself-satisfactioninthenever-endinglearningprocess.Itsgoalistostriveforperfection,perfection,andendlesspursuitoftheultimategoalofsevenzero.
Theessenceofleanproductionisthemanagementprocess,includingtheoptimizationofpersonnelorganizationmanagement,vigorouslystreamliningthemiddlemanagement,carryingoutflatreforms,andreducingindirectproductionpersonnel;

Leanproductionischaracterizedbyeliminatingallwasteandpursuingexcellenceandcontinuousimprovement.Toremovealltheuselessthingsfromtheproductionprocess,theprincipleforthearrangementofeachworkerandhispositionistoaddvalueandremoveallnon-value-addedpositions.Thestreamliningisitscore,streamliningallnon-value-addedworkinproductdevelopment,design,productionandmanagement,aimingtorespondtomarketdemandswiththehighestquality,lowestcostandhighestefficiency.
2ThesuperiorityofleanproductionmethodsanditssignificanceComparedwiththemassproductionmethods,thesuperiorityofthe
leanproductionmethodsadoptedinJapanismainlymanifestedinthefollowingaspects:
1.Therequiredhumanresources–whetherinproductdevelopment,
productionsystems,orotherpartsofthefactory,canbereducedtoaminimumof1/2comparedtofactoriesunderalargenumberofproductionmethods;
2.Newproductdevelopmentcycle-theminimumcanbereducedtol/2or2/3;
3.Work-in-processinventoryintheproductionprocess–thelowestlevelcanbereducedto1/10ofthegenerallevelundermassproductionmode;
4.Thefactoryoccupiesspace-theminimumcanbereducedto1/2usingmassproductionmethods;
5.Finishedproductinventory-theminimumcanbereducedto1/4oftheaverageinventorylevelundermassproductionmode;
6.Productquality-canbesubstantial.
Theleanproductionmethodisathoroughpursuitofproductionrationalityandhighefficiency.Itcanflexiblyproduceproductiontechnologyandmanagementtechnologyforhigh-qualityproductsthatmeetvariousrequirements.Itsbasicprinciplesandmanymethodshavepositivesignificanceforthemanufacturingindustry.Thecoreofleanproduction,whichisthebasicideaofproductionplanningandcontrolandinventorymanagem
