1.02DESCRIPTION

Completeelectricallysupervisedaddressablesystem,withManualFireAlarmPullstations,Horns,SmokeDetectors,HeatDetectors,FlashingSynchronizedStrobeAlarmLights,SprinklerFlowandTamperDevices,ControlPanel,andAnnunciatorPanels.

1.03REQUIREMENTS

Securepermitsandapprovalsofallauthoritieshavingjurisdictionpriortoinstallation.

Provideacomplete,operational,24volt,addressable,closed-circuit,electricallysupervised,annunciated,generalfirealarmandfiredetectionsystemmeetingtherequirementsandapprovalof:

A.NFPA72NationalFireAlarmCode.

B.IBC[InternationalBuildingCode].

C.AmericanswithDisabilitiesAct.

D.Authoritieshavingjurisdiction.

Securepermitsandapprovalsincludingwiringdiagramsofcompletesystempriortoinstallation.

Priortocommencementandaftercompletionofwork,notifyauthoritieshavingjurisdiction.

Submitletterofapprovalforinstallationbeforerequiringacceptanceofsystem.

1.04OPERATION

1.04.01Operationofmanualfirealarmpullstationshall:

Automaticallytransmitfirealarmsignaltofiredepartmentviaapprovedcentraloffice.

Soundalarmonallhornsthroughoutbuilding;

activateflashinglights;

actuatefloor,zoneanddevicelamponannunciatorpanelatlobby;

andstopairsupplyandairreturnbyautomaticallyshuttingdownallairhandlingunits.

1.04.02Operationofheatandsmokespacedetectorsandsprinklerwaterflowswitchshallperformsameoperationasmanualfirealarmstation.

Smokespacedetectorsandsprinklerwaterflowswitchshallalsoautomaticallystartatriumsmokeexhaustandairsupplyfans.

1.04.03Operationofsprinklertamperswitchshall:

Soundtroublealarmsignalandilluminatetroubleandfloorlamponannunciatorpanelatmainlobby,andadditionalpanellocatedinrearlobbylocatedindrawings.

1.04.04Operationofductsmokedetectorshall:

Shutdowncontaminatedairhandlingunit,andperformthesameoperationasspacedetector.

1.04.05Operationofelevatorlobby,machineroom,orhoistwaysmokedetectorsshall:

Initiateelevatorrecallsequence:

Elevatorsservingalarminitiatingfloortoreturnnon-stoptolowerlevelfloor.Ifthisisanalarminitiatingfloor,elevatorshallreturntolandingtwofloorsabove.

1.04.06Opensorgroundsinwiringactuatestroublebell.Silencingswitchwithpilotlightpermitssilencingtroublebellwhilefaultisbeingcleared.Pilotlightremainsilluminatedbetweenoperationofsilencingswitchandclearingoffault.

1.04.07Operationofelevatorlobbysmokedetector,elevatorshaftandElevatorMachineRoomsmokedetectorshallactuateelevatorrecallsystemandperformsameoperationassprinklertamperswitch.

1.04.08Operationofatriumceilingbeamtypesmokedetectorsshallperformsameoperationasmanualfirealarmstation,andshallalsoautomaticallystartalloftheatriumsmokeexhaustfans.

1.04.09OperationofElevatorMachineRoomandelevatorshaftheatdetectorsshallopenelevatorfeedercontactororshuttripbreakers（s）andperformsameoperationassprinklertamperswitch.

1.05DIVISIONOFWORK

1.05.01UnderHVACwork:

Installductdetectorswithductboxesandsamplingtubesinaccordancewithmanufacturer'

srequirementandwithelectricalcontractorpresent.Extendsamplingtubeacrosswidestductdimensionandthroughoppositewall.Maintainclearanceandaccessibilitytoductboxandsamplingtubeendfitting.Provideauxiliarycontactsinallpackagedequipmentcontrollersforshutdownofcontaminatedairhandlingunitsbysmokedetectors.

1.05.02Undersprinklerwork:

Provideandinstallsprinklerflowandtamperswitches.

1.05.03Underelectricalwork:

Supplyandwire-upductdetectorsinstalledunderHVACwork.Wire-upsprinklerflowandtamperswitchesinstalledundersprinklerwork.Providecontrolpanel,wiring,spacedetectorsandallcomponentsofthefirealarmsystem.CoordinatecontrolinterlockswithMechanical,Elevator[KitchenEquipmentContractor]andControlsubcontractsforshutdownofairhandlingunits,fans,controlofsmokecontrolsystemfans,operationofcontroldampers,elevatorrecallandelevatorshutdown,[andkitchenequipmentcontrolinterlocks].
