I.Introduction
BillMckibbenhaseversaidthatconsumerismisthemostpowerfulideologysofar--now,thereisnoplaceontheearthcanescapethemagicofwonderfullifedesire."Chinaisexperiencingthedevelopmentofeconomy,politics,cultureandsociallifethatneverhavebeen.Besides,withtheincreasingofinternationalcooperation,theinter-company,thecomingofforeignmedia,thepragmatismandfhedonismofwesterncountrieshavegreatinfluencesontheChinese.Therefore,weneedtocallfornewconceptionofconsumption,establishhealthyconsumptionpattern,createoptimisticconsumptioncultureandimprovetheharmonybetweenpeopleandpeople,peopleandnature,peopleandsociety.
Contemporaryuniversitystudentisaspecialgroupofthesociety.Ontheonehand,theyareoneofthemajorgroupofconsumption,theyhaveindependentrealizationandcharacteristicsofconsumption.Ontheotherhand,theyaretheleaderpowerofthemajorpowerandconsumptiontendencyoffutureChina.Thus,theirconsumptionsituation,attitudeandpatternwillhavevitaleffectsontheeconomydevelopmentandconsumptionculture.Inordertohavebetterunderstandingtheseissues,itisnecessarytomakeasurveytohaveadeeplookintouniversitystudents’dailyconsumption.

II.Survey
It’squiteimportantforustoknowhowtoarrangeourmoneyinourdailylife.Andtoknowmoredetailedinformationaboutthewayuniversitystudentsspendtheirmoney,CherryandAnnmadeasurveyinHefeiUniversityfromMay8,2012toMay16,2012.Actually,thesubjectofthissurveywastheEnglishMajorstudent,andthewayofthissurveywassamplingsurvey.Inotherwords,120studentswerechosetojointhesurvey,andthentheresultofthesurveywasrecordedbychartsandgraphs.,Thetypesofsurveywerethelongitudinalstudyandthecomparison,andthefindingsareinthefollowinginformation.
III.Findings
Afteraddingupandsummarizingthedatawegotfromthequestionnaires,wemakethefollowingchartsandgraphs.
Thechart1isthedataofuniversitystudents’dailyconsumption,andyoucouldfindthattheboardandsnacksfeeareinmajorityofuniversitystudents’dailyconsumption.Inotherwords,studentsspendmuchoftheirlivingexpensesinfoods.Besides,somestudentsalsospendpartsoftheirlivingexpensesinluxuryproducts,suchasCosmeticsandnutrition.Buttheseproductsaretooexpensivetoaffordnowtothem.What’smore,manystudentsdon’tspendmuchmoneyintheirstudies.Anditisreallyasurprisetofindthat.
Next,thecomparisontypeofstudyisusedtogetmoreinformationaboutthedailyconsumptionofuniversitystudents.
Asyoucansee,thechart2isacomparisonbetweenmaleandfemaleundergraduates’dailyconsumption.It’sveryeasytofindthatmaleundergraduates’spendmuchmoremoneyinboardthanfemaleundergraduates,whilefemalesspendmuchmoremoneyinsnacks,luxuryproductsandclothes.Andfromthis,youcouldfindthattherearesomedifferencesbetweenmalesandfemales.Femalestakemoreattentionstotheirappearance,andtheywanttobedifferentandunique.Incontrast,maleshavehighdemandfoodservices.Inaddition,femalesworkharderthanmales,sotheyspendmuchmoremoneyinlearning.
Thechart3isalsoacomparison,butnow,thesubjectofthesurveyisonlythefemaleuniversitystudents,andthevariableisthetime.Thenyouwouldfindthatthefemaleshaveadifferentwaytoarrangeandspendtheirmoneyindifferentgrades.Whentheybecomesophomorefromfreshman,theyspendlessmoneyintheirfoods,includingboardandsnacks,butspendalittermoremoneyinluxuriesandclothes,aswellaslearning.Thereasonmaybetheywanttobemorecharmingormature,andtheyworkmoreharedbecausetheyhaveaTM4examinationinsophomoreyear.
Andthechart4tellsusthemales’differentwayofspendingmoneyindifferentgrades.Andit’sobviousthatmalestudentsspendmuchlessmoneyinboard,butspendingmoreinsnacks,luxuryproducts,andclothes.So,itisnotrighttosayonlyfemalescareabouttheirappearance,themalestudentsalsocare.Besides,theyalsospendmoremoneyinlearningbecauseoftheTM4examination.
Fromtheabovecharts,youcanfindtherearemanywrongattitudesandwaystospendmoney,soherearesomesolutionstosolvethem.
IV.Solutions
Accordingtothesurveyresultsandanalysis,therearemainlyfourmethodstosolvetheproblems.Firstly,itisveryimportanttostrengthenstudents’independentrealizationandtheabilityofmanagingmo
