Berners-Leewantedtodevelopasystemtosolvetheproblem. Hispapersuggestedaninformationsystem,whereapageononecomputercouldhavealinktoanotherpageonanothercomputer(connectedthroughtheInternet),allowingscientiststoreadlotsofinformationquickly.However,Berners-Lee’sbosssaidthatitsoundedexcitingbutimpossible.
Eventhoughthereweremanydifficultiesandfewsupporters,Berners-LeewentontodeveloptheWorldWideWeb.HecameupwithideassuchasHyper-textTransferProtocol(超文本传输协议)toallowcomputerstotalktoeachother,Hyper-textMarkupLanguage(HTML)tocreatethepages,aservertoservethepages,andabrowser(浏览器)toseethem.
