Configuringthedatabase.
1. Thisfilecontainstwofilesreldb.mdbanfdreldb.dbc.
2. Start->Programs->administrativetools>Datasourceconfigurethemdbfile.
3.Addthemdbfileusingtheaddbutton inODBCDataSourceAdministrator.
4.IntheODBCMicrosoftAccesssetupselectthepathofthemdbfileandenterthedatasourcenameanddiscriptionasbelow:
5.NowclickonOK.Thisstepsetsupthe accessdatabase.
SettingupofDBCfileandGeneratingBOM
1.NowincaptureCISgotoOptions>CISconfiguration
2.ClickontheNew.
3.Nowselectthereldbdatabasethatwehadconfiguredearlier.andthenclickonnext.
4.Nowfollowthestepsoftheconfigurationwizard.Wewillonlyconfigurethedatabaseforcapacitor,resistorandICinthisexample.
5. Nowcontinuetoconfigurethedatabaseaccordingtothewizard.WhilecreatingtheDBCfilemakesureyoudonotchecktherelationtablesasinthiscaseVENDOR.
6. Oncethe configurationiscompletegototheRelationalDatabasetabasshownbelowandfromthedropdownselecttherelations.
7.NowclickonOK.
8.Nowopenthedesignreldb.dsnandthenopenpage1andthendoaplacedatabasepart
8.Placetheresistorsintheschematicfromthedatabase.Youshouldbeabletoaseetheinformationfromthevendortableasshownbelow.
9.Completethedesignasshownbelow.
10.OncethedesigniscompletewewillnowcreatetheBOM.With16.3wewillbeabletogettheinformationfromtherelationtableinBOMreport.SonowgotoReports>CISBillofMaterial>Standard

InthedesignalltheresistorshavetwovendortableshenceinBOMwewillhave2row/coloumswhichwillhavethedata.Incasethevendortablehasmorethantheavaliablethan2thenweneedtoincreesethesizeofMax_rowsaccordingly.
