beendesignedforsuchaheavytraffic.

MostAmericansdon’tliketogetadvicesfrommelnbersoftbelrfamlly.Whentheyareina

troubleandneedadvice,theywritelettersfornewspapersormagazincs.Mostnewspapersprint

lettersfromreaderswithproblems.AlongwiththeIetterstherehaveanswerswrittenbypeople

whoarewasfirstgrowninwhichisnowpartoftheUnitedStates.Columbus,Whodiscovered

America,sawtheIndianssmoking.SoonthedryingleavesweretransportedtoEuropewhere

smokingbegantocatchon.Atthelate1800s,theTurksmadecigarettespopular.Smoking

cigarettesisdanger.TheUSPublicHealthServicestatedthatthesmokingcigarettesisthe

reasonoflungcancerandseveralotherdeadlydiseases.TheUSgovernmentnowrequiresthat

eachpackageofcigarettesbearsaspecialwarningagainstthedangerofsmoking.

Sandyisseventeenyearsold.Andsheismuchbusy.Sbeneverhasenoughtimeforthatshe

wantstodo.Likemanyothergirlsaboutherage,shespendshoursonthetelephone,talkstoher

friends.Sheoftengoesoutontheweekends,andshelooksafterchildrenforotherfamiliesto

teamisnotplayingsowell,thegirlstrytheirbestencouragetheplayers.Thecheersareusually

notlong,butittakesalongtimetopractiseshoutingthemtogether.

AfterIfinishedtheschoolthisyear,Ibegantotookforwork.Nowseveralmonthlater,Istill

hadn’tfoundtbejobthatIwasinterested.LastSundaynmrningIreceivedaphonecallfroma

mancallinghimMrSmith.Hesaidtomeonthephone,“Ihearyoudoverywellinyour

studies,Imayhavcajobforyou.”Ienteredhisofficewithabeatenheart.HowIhopedthatI

willgothroughthejohhuntingtalktodayandhewouldtakenmonasalabassistant.Buttomy

surprised,whathesaiddisappointing.Heonlyneededamodel.

newspapers.Insmalltownstherearefew.Insomeplaccs,peoplecanreadnewspapersonlyonceinaweek.

excrcisetogether.Wecan’tworkandenjoylifeallthetimeunlesswekeepgoodhealthy.

 

Everyonehashisownwayofresting.Perhapsthemostpopularwayistakepartinsports.Therearcteam

suchasbaseball,basketballorfootball.Thereisalsosportsforoneperson,suchasgolfandswimming.

Onemorningamancrossingabridgewhenhesawamanfishingabovehim,sohestoppedtowatchhimquiet.After

awhile,themanpushedhislinein.Therewasabigfishontheendofit.Themantookitoffthehookandthrewback

intothewater.Afewminuteslatehecaughtotherbigfish.Againhethrewitback,So,hecaughtasmallfish.Heput

itintohisbasket.Themanonthebridgewassurprisedandaskedwhy.Themananswered,“Smallfrying-pan.”

Myfavouritesportisfootball.Iwasamemberofourschoolfootballteam.Wepractiseforthreetimesevery

weekandoftenwatchfootballmatchonTVtogether.Playfootballnotonlymakestlsgrowuptallandstrong

butalsogiveusasenseoffairplayandteamspirit.Wemustkeepinmindthatweplayfortheteaminstead

ourselves.Also,thesportteachesustheimportantofobedience.Eachplayermustobeycaptain,whoisthe

leaderoftheteam.Andtheymustnotbreaktherulestoooftenifwewanttowinthegame.

TheweatherwassohotbutsoterriblethatIcouldhardlykeeponstudying.When1openmywindow,Ifound

outthesunwasshiningandtheskywasblue.Acoolandpleasedwindwasblowing.Thetreesweregreenand

theflowerswerered.Itseemedasliketheyweresayinghellotomeandwavingtome.Agroupchildrenwere

cheapandsafer.Andthiswasashortjourney.InthebeginningIdidnotfeelveryhappy.Thisfeelingdidnot

lastforlongbecausethetripwasveryexcited.Iwassoonupintheblueskybetweentheclouds.Theviewof

mountains,fieldsandriverswereinterestingandunusual.Whenitwastimeformetofinishthistrip,Iwas

likingthescenesomuchthatIwasdisapprovedtohavetostopmytripintheskysosoon.

ThatSaturdaywhenIenteredinanunderpass,Iheardabeautifulsound.Itmakesmchappy.

ItwasdarknesstheresoIcouldn’tseewherethesoundcamefrom.Iwalkedtowardsthecorner.Anoldman

wassittingthere,wearsshabbyclothes,liewasplayingerhu(二胡).“Oh,itisabeggar.”Ithought.Atthat

momentamancamebydroppedoneyuanintilebeggarbox.Theoldmanstoppedtosay“Thankyou”.Hethen

gropedontheground.Whilehefoundthebox,hepickedupthemoney.Hefeltitand.smiled.Whatbeautiful

themusicwas!

Itwasplayedbyablindperson.Ijustadmiredhim.
