Greenpeaceandothergroupshavetriedtostopthehuntforyears.ActivistshopeTheCovewillbringtheissuetomorepeopleinternationally,andeventuallyinJapan.

Already,theAustraliantownofBroomedroppedits28-yearsister-cityrelationshipwithTaijilastmonth,partlybecauseofthemovie.
