　　DescriptionoftheRevisedGeneralTest

　　Theverbalreasoningmeasureisdesignedtoassessthefundamentalabilitiesrequiredforunderstandingwrittentextsandreasoningaboutthem.Questionswillmeasureyourabilitytointerpret,analyze,andevaluatetextsofvariouslengthsandtoreasonwithwordsinsolvingproblems.Thereisabalanceofpassagesacrossdifferentsubjectmatterareas,includinghumanities,socialsciences,andnaturalsciences,butthequestionsdonotassessspecificcontentknowledge.

　　Thequantitativereasoningmeasureisdesignedtoassessyourabilitytosolveproblemsinaquantitativesetting,usingquantitativereasoning,elementarymathematicalconcepts,andbasicmathematicalskills.Themathematicalcontentrequireddoesnotgobeyondthemathematicsusuallystudiedinhighschoolandincludesarithmetic,algebra,geometry,anddataanalysis.Forindividualstakingthetestbycomputer,anonlinecalculatorwillbeprovidedforuseinthequantitativesections.Forindividualstestinginalternateformats,ahand-heldbasiccalculator（onethatsupportsorderofoperationsisrecommended）,includingatalkingcalculatorifapprovedasanaccommodation,willbepermi
