Thechoiceofpronounnumberformsisgenerallydeterminedbythenumberofitsantecedent,thatistosay,apronounmustagreewithitsantecedentinnumber.Hereareafewpointsthatmeritourattention:
1)pronounconcordwithevery-,some-,any-compoundsasantecedent

Genderisagrammaticalcategory.Itisasetofgrammaticalformsofnouns,deterinersandadjectivesthattellofthedistinctionsofsex.UnlikesomeEuropeanlanguagessuchasGerman,FrenchandRussianthathaveacomplicatedfendersystem,theEnglishlanguageisnotmarkedwithanygenderdistinctionsexceptforsomepronouns.

●Whentheantecedentisananimalnoun,itisgenerallyreferredtoasitinnonexpertcontexts.
●Whentheanimalisspokenofwithemotionorispersonified,itmaybereferredtoasheorshe.

●Namesofcountriesmaybetreatedeitherasfeminineorneutral.

Inthelastdecadeofthe20thcentury,chinabegantoassumeherroleasaworldpower.

Personisagrammaticalcategory.Itisagrammaticalformthatshowthereferentialmeaningofpronouns.

Inatext,pronounsshouldbeconsistentinpersonfrombeginningtoend.Thisisamatterofspeakingorwritingfromwhatpointofview,fromthespeaker’sorwriter’spointofvieworfromthatofathirdparty.Aconsistentpointofviewisaguaranteeofclarity.
