Ascienceprojectisaninvestigationusingthescientificmethodtodiscovertheanswertoascientificproblem.Beforestartingyourproject,youneedtounderstandthescientificmethod.Thissectionusesexamplestoillustrateandexplainthebasicstepsofthescientificmethod.Thescientificmethodisthe“tool”thatscientistsusetofindtheanswerstoquestions.Itistheprocessofthinkingthroughthepossiblesolutionstoaproblemandtestingeachpossibilitytofindthebestsolution.Thescientificmethodinvolvesthefollowingsteps:
